Agile

Because project cycles are frustrating, we’ve seen it take months for transforming business into analytical reports that show meaningful data. Clearly, this process needs dramatic improvement.

At Tenpoint7, Agile development methodologies (especially Scrum and Extreme Programming framework) are being applied to solve the problem. The Agile iterative process help us to shorten development cycles and speed up business request clarification. Therefore, Agile allow us to deliver value in weeks–or even days –rather than months, years.

Agile Project Management

We completely follow agile project management in our project because of its continuous inspection and adaptation. In contrast with traditional (waterfall) process where planning is done at the beginning of the process and results are delivered at the end of the process (which easily results in behind schedule or unsatisfied deliverables), agile project management focuses on a continuous planning, execution, and feedback in which:

  • Planning is done at the beginning of each iteration, rather than once at the project beginning.
  • Daily standup meeting with stakeholders.
  • Retrospective session is done at the end of each iteration, not just at the end of the project.
  • Progress is demonstrated at the end of each iteration (2-3 weeks)
  • Scope can be changed during development by reprioritizing deliverables.

With Agile project management, we reduce the risk of under delivering and increase product quality because bugs are discovered and fixed early.
